Travel To Niagara Falls

You don't need to go over a barrel just to visit Niagara Falls and the falls is not the only attraction you can find there. When traveling to Ontario Canada there are several things for you and your family to do and learn as you can step back in time when you visit a museum or a haunted house. Find out what makes each place special and how you can learn a lot from the residents that lived there at one time.

The first place to stop at is Niagara Falls. These falls were created thousands of years ago. There are falls that are located down the river a bit, known as the Horseshoe Falls. These falls are located on the Canadian side. The American Bridal Veil Falls are located on the United States side. But these falls are showing signs of erosion year after year. You can feel the mist, see the rainbow and hear the constant roar of the water as it pours over the rocks and drops down.

If you see the Niagara Falls in the day time you will also want to see them at night. The lights dance along the water as spectators sit and watch the display which constantly changes. There are also lights located near the America Bridal Veil falls as well. The show is free and you can enjoy the view for hours.

While at Niagara Falls you will want to see the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens. Such a view can not only arouse your curiosity but it can also inspire you to create beauty in an array of colors. You can enjoy several different things while touring; different species of butterflies, tropical plants and a waterfall. The butterflies are of every color as there are over 65 species that have called this garden home. You can walk along pathways all through the garden as you view the tropical setting. Wrap it up as you stop to see the twenty foot water fall in the garden.

If you have seen people standing behind the falls and wondered what that would be like, now you can enjoy it as well. You can travel by foot 125 feet down and then go through a man made tunnel that ends with a clearing to walk out on to view the water as it falls in front of you. The noise is loud so there is no chance of carrying on a conversation. You will also get rain gear included in your admission to protect your clothing from becoming soaked when you reach behind the falls. The only fall that you can stand behind is the Canadian Horseshoe Fall.

As mentioned before, you cannot go over the falls in a barrel but you can take a simulated ride that is close. This ride is one of the more popular rides and it is located near the Casino Niagara. You take a submersible shuttle that will bring you up and over the falls. No one gets hurt on this ride and it is very enjoyable.
