The Portofino Bay Hotel is not a Disney resort, but it is a very unique Italian village recreation on a beautiful man-made bay. This resort is affiliated with the Universal parks and can offer easy access to their nightlife and the rides. The bay is dotted with small watercraft and the resort offers nightly shows at the harbor of live musicians playing lovely tunes from Italy. They also provide a supervised activity area for the children, which allows for a romantic dinner for the adults. The restaurants are amazing and an outdoor movie is shown every night at sunset next to the main pool. Definitely a very unique and charming resort.
