RV Vacations can be a really fun filled experience provided you plan it out meticulously. RV Vacations are less costly and give you complete control over your schedule. The most crucial thing to plan about your RV Vacations is the number of available camping grounds. The RV parks allow you a halt and provide you will all the facilities like sanitation, water and others. Therefore, it is essential that you choose your RV park as per your needs and book it in advance to save yourself any last minute hassle.

Knowing Your RV Parks

RV parks or recreational vehicle parks are usually located in open spaces, highway commercial areas or simply recreational areas. They are usually not situated near any residential zone or flood plains for obvious reasons. There are strict environmental guidelines that need to be adhered to for a space to be converted into a RV ground. The level of groundwater, the conditions of the soil, the topography, the drainage and sundry need to be agreeable for the health of the campers out for their RV Vacations. Sites that have a high pollution levels, susceptible to floods or erosion are not considered good enough for camping.

Once the RV park site is chosen, the open surfaces of the ground need to be paved with stone screens or any other solid materials. A vegetative growth can also prevent erosion. The bare minimum gross area that is needed for a site to be converted into a RV park is five acres; and the maximum park density cannot cross the limit of 12 RVs per gross acre. Every RV Park needs to have a vehicle protection of concrete or asphalt road surface. The entrance and exit of the RV Park should be designed in a way that it does not hamper the traffic situation in the surrounding locality. All the RVs must be able to move in and out smoothly without creating any bottleneck.

A good RV park offers various facilities like toilets, dumping stations, coin-operated laundry, water supply, showers and others.

There are numerous RV parks all over Canada and America. You will just have to work a little hard and do your homework properly to choose the RV Park that suits you best. You can choose it on the basis of the location, the facilities offered and the cost factor. And once to have zeroed in on your choice, do not delay. Book it in advance. You surely do not want to be stranded on the road at night due to overcrowded parks!
