Indoor Attractions In Costa Rica

In Costa Rica, you will find over thirty museums to fill your days. They have artifacts and art works. They show the culture and they have animal museums as well. You could plan your entire vacation around these museums and still experience the life in Costa Rica. The San Jose are has many different museums. Museo de Oro Precolombino is an underground museum, which display's gold figurines. You will see insects, frogs, snakes, birds, sharks, lobsters and crocodiles in gold. It is a very unusual museum. Unless you have been to Costa Rica, you probably have never seen anything like this before.

The other unique museum is the museum called Museo de Jade, which is the same as the Museo de Oro Precolombino except it displays these figures in jade. Jade is not only very expensive, but the historical and religious meaning behind the figurines makes it very valuable. You might then visit the museum in an old fort called Museo Nacional, which still has bullet holes from the Civil War. Here you will fine Indian artifacts that are unbelievable to see. One part of the museum does have current displays for visitors to see.

You will find museums that have paintings and artworks, natural science and a museum with pictures of body parts that deal with criminology as well as law enforcement. If you travel to other parts of Costa Rica, you will find many more museums and Botanical Gardens. The gardens are lovely anytime of the year. There is the Arenal Botanical Gardens, Ark Herb Farm, and Cuatro Mangoes Ornamental Gardens. The gardens are spectacular and offer an array of colors and fragrances. Between the museums and the Botanical gardens, you see and learn more about Costa Rica then you could from any book. There are other indoor attractions to keep you busy as well.

Costa Rica not only has museums and the gardens, it has theatres and cinemas. The theatres are Stratego Danza, Dominical Little Theatre and The Theatre Group of Costa Rica. If you prefer a movie, Costa Rica has many movie cinemas for viewing a movie of your choice. If you want to try your hand at the casinos, Costa Rica has many different casinos that are open all night and all day. You can spend your time walking around or try a game or two. There are so many things to do indoors in Costa Rica.

You will find that hotels and transportation are located near the attractions in Costa Rica. They are easy to get to and they have restaurants close by so you can make a night of it. There are many more attractions, but the one thing you cannot miss is the sunrise over the ocean. Whether you see it from your hotel room, or on the patios of the restaurant gardens, you will se something so beautiful. It feels like you are so close that you could reach out and touch it. Everyone will enjoy there visit to Costa Rica and enjoy some adventures.
