California Vineyards

When you visit California you can't help but make a stop at the wine country. California has 58 counties and out of those 58, there are 46 counties that are producing wine. California's climate allows for optimal soil and growing conditions. With so many counties involved in growing wine the state of California offers several different events and activities geared toward the wine. Wine tasting can be quite enjoyable and educational as well. Sampling the wine is very important in order to appreciate the difference in the wines. California wineries are a old business that have been around for generations. Winery's take a long time to perfect and to raise the grapes just right for picking.

If you want to arrange for a tour of the winery you need to do some checking around to find out the schedule. Each one offers a schedule of tours and wine tasting and some require an appointment before touring. The wineries take their tours seriously and they offer the tourists several different options. When wine tasting is in season you will be able to access an endless amount of wineries. Each winery is different and they have their own set of rules. These rules include the number of guests per party and hours available to tour some require an appointment ahead of time. Wine tours are scheduled around harvest time when everything is ready and being processed. Other events you may get to see while at the winery include crush events, concerts and auctions of vintage wines, balloon rides over the vineyards, gardens for the perfect atmosphere, museums of the winery and the vineyards, local restaurants come to the festival to display their variety of dishes, and other recreational activities that will make your visit to the winery the most enjoyable.

Because after several wine tasting events you may find that driving is difficult you and your group may decide to rent a limo which will offer you a safe ride to and from the winery. You can cut cost by sharing a limo with other wine tasting fans. A lot of the roads leading to the wineries include long, narrow winding roads. It is important to drive slowly and carefully if you decide to drive yourself. They are well off the beaten path and you may not realize how long it takes you to travel to each vineyard. There are also hotels, motels and Inns to stay near the vineyards. This will cut down on your travel time.

Travel To Niagara Falls

You don't need to go over a barrel just to visit Niagara Falls and the falls is not the only attraction you can find there. When traveling to Ontario Canada there are several things for you and your family to do and learn as you can step back in time when you visit a museum or a haunted house. Find out what makes each place special and how you can learn a lot from the residents that lived there at one time.

The first place to stop at is Niagara Falls. These falls were created thousands of years ago. There are falls that are located down the river a bit, known as the Horseshoe Falls. These falls are located on the Canadian side. The American Bridal Veil Falls are located on the United States side. But these falls are showing signs of erosion year after year. You can feel the mist, see the rainbow and hear the constant roar of the water as it pours over the rocks and drops down.

If you see the Niagara Falls in the day time you will also want to see them at night. The lights dance along the water as spectators sit and watch the display which constantly changes. There are also lights located near the America Bridal Veil falls as well. The show is free and you can enjoy the view for hours.

While at Niagara Falls you will want to see the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens. Such a view can not only arouse your curiosity but it can also inspire you to create beauty in an array of colors. You can enjoy several different things while touring; different species of butterflies, tropical plants and a waterfall. The butterflies are of every color as there are over 65 species that have called this garden home. You can walk along pathways all through the garden as you view the tropical setting. Wrap it up as you stop to see the twenty foot water fall in the garden.

If you have seen people standing behind the falls and wondered what that would be like, now you can enjoy it as well. You can travel by foot 125 feet down and then go through a man made tunnel that ends with a clearing to walk out on to view the water as it falls in front of you. The noise is loud so there is no chance of carrying on a conversation. You will also get rain gear included in your admission to protect your clothing from becoming soaked when you reach behind the falls. The only fall that you can stand behind is the Canadian Horseshoe Fall.

As mentioned before, you cannot go over the falls in a barrel but you can take a simulated ride that is close. This ride is one of the more popular rides and it is located near the Casino Niagara. You take a submersible shuttle that will bring you up and over the falls. No one gets hurt on this ride and it is very enjoyable.

Acapulco

Traveling to Acapulco can mean an awesome and exciting trip. There are so many places to see and enjoy while you are there. The weather is superb and the fishing is grand. Enjoy the white sand in between your toes as you set out to walk along the beach and enjoy the views. Acapulco is a great tourist attraction and it has been reconstructed to attract the tourism industry. See how well you like Acapulco by visiting some of the popular attractions that will be very educational and memorable.

If you want to see some daring jumps you will want to visit La.Quebrada. This showcase of tall and beautiful rocks is a daredevil's paradise. Standing at 110 feet high, those who choose to can jump at their own free will after climbing up the rocks to get to the highest point. Enjoy watching the jumps as each one becomes more skilled every time.

You can't enjoy Acapulco without checking out the beaches that have always been a major attraction. There are several activities to enjoy both day and night for any age, including the younger generation. While enjoying the water you may find the locals taking in such sports as Parasailing or Jet Skiing. Have fun when you join in the water activities. They are not only fun but interesting to watch. Acapulco takes great care of their beaches so that people can enjoy them now and in the future.

Delfines Paradise is a great attraction to see. What better way to understand the sea creatures than to swim with them. You can swim with the dolphins or admire them from the side. You and your family can learn all you need to know about dolphins, including their habitat and more. Trainers are always on hand to explain everything to you as well as answer any questions. They also demonstrate the dolphin's way of interacting with humans through actions.

Maybe you have heard of it sometime in your life and now is your chance to visit Leguna de Coyuca. Here you can enjoy around 28 miles of fresh water lagoon. Some of the beautiful things to see here include palm trees, floral variety, bird sanctuary, fishing, sailing and water skiing. Enjoy looking down at the clear waters as you drift around. Learn about all the different species of birds as well as all the flowers that can grow in that kind of climate. When you are done, stop by the restaurant for something delicious to eat.

While you are in Acapulco you will want to visit The Fuerte de San Diego History Museum. This museum displays historical evidence of Guerrero. There are five main rooms displaying exhibitions in the pentagon shaped building. Each exhibition offers something different to see and learn. Learn about the culture long ago, learn about Yope Indians and more. Learn why the building was under attack and damaged in 1776. You can also learn how the Yope Indians defended the structure when they resisted a Spanish leader.

A Tour Of London

When traveling to London will be quite an adventure in itself. You may be traveling to Europe and would like to see the Grand Palace and other historical landmarks that are still being used today. In order to plan your trip carefully you will need to know a little more about all the places that you should visit while in London that is highly recommended. Here are some places to add to your itinerary while you are in London.

London has something called the London Eye. The London Eye is also known as The Millennium Wheel because it was opened in the year 2000. The London Eye is a Ferris wheel that allows you to see all of London while you are riding it. The views can be seen for up to 25 miles around when it is a clear sky. The ride takes thirty minutes so that you have time to see all around you while you are going around. Each capsule can hold up to twenty five people.

You should also go to the Tower Bridge. This is the famous bridge that has a lot of history behind it. Tower Bridge was designed to be raised for tall ships that would pass by. You can see the raising of the bridge several times during the week if you are interested. It also offers a closed in walkway that you can enjoy during every season.

You should also visit Tower of London. This is not the same thing as the bridge. The Tower of London has a lot of history behind it. During Medieval times this was the place of imprisonment, torture and execution for prisoners. You can view the Crown Jewels when you visit the Tower of London. Watch out for the ravens that have made the Tower of London their home.

Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens is a great way to end your long journey. Feel the peacefulness as you visit the royal parks. The Hyde Park is the largest park of the three parks in London. It offers a place to boat, swim, play and it also includes a pet cemetery for all the pets who have enjoyed the park continuously.

The famous Big Ben is something that you will want to see before leaving London. This is a clock that was built into a tour that has a distinct ring. You can hear the ring all around the world in phones, watches, clocks and more. When the House of Commons is in session you can see the light on above the clock.

Last, but not least, you will want to swing by Buckingham Palace to view the royal family's house. Since 1837 this has been the home to the British Royal Family. Get there in time to see the Changing of the Guard. See the horses and carriages used by the Queen. You can also see certain parts of the palace during certain times of the year so if you want to tour Buckingham Palace you may want to call first.

Traveling to Chicago may be a treat for you when you go prepared to see what educational attractions lies in this great place. It is a great place to learn about all that Chicago has to offer as well as how Chicago even began.

The Art Institute of Chicago offers a lot to view. The museum is the location to a wide variety of art work from new artists to more well known and famous artists, such as Monet, Van Gough and more. You can see both drawings and paintings at the Art Institute. You may also see sculptures as well as photographs. Schedule a guided educational tour and listen in on the free public lectures.

Take a walk through the Museum of Science and Industry Museum. This museum will show you exhibit's such as a heart that you can go inside of. This 16 foot heart teaches you all you need to know about your heart. You can also view the past and the present changes in the world of science that will teach you and your children how to appreciate where we are today.

Another great place to go to is the John G. Shedd Aquarium and Oceanarium. This is located more toward Lake Michigan and features an indoor aquarium. You can find residents, such as fish, reptiles, invertebrates, birds and even mammals living here. There is also a great place to eat and enjoy the view here as well.

Next you can travel on to The Field Museum. This is the place that you can go to view what remains of different cultures that no longer exists. You may like the exhibit of T-Rex dinosaur. They also offer an underground exhibit. There are so many different places that you can enjoy while viewing this museum.

The Chicago Historical Society is a great place to view the best of Chicago. Enjoy a step back in time when you can travel the riverfront trading post in 1779. Watch a film, see the exhibit and visit the cabin of one of the traders during that time. The gallery will let you have hands on experience into the past.

Dusable Museum of African American History will give you a sense of what contributions were made by the African-Americans in the past. View the original documents of the slaves. Hear the public lectures as they travel back in time to show you what life was like back then.

Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture is a place that you also want to squeeze into the itinerary. It is the largest museum of its kind located in the United States. Learn about the brief history of Lithuania. The history and the culture is a great lesson in itself. You also get to see some of the famous artifacts, including a coat of armor. You will also get to visit a gift shop to take a piece of history home with you.

When you visit New York you will want to take the time to visit all the museums in New York. There are several different places to look at when you travel to Rome. You may not know where to start your trip. In order to see the best attraction in Rome you will need to check out the five best places and the most visited sights in Rome. Visiting these sights will help you discover the history of Rome as it has been preserved. Because Rome has so much history behind it you will enjoy the trip to these five places.

The first place to visit in Rome would be The Colosseum. What makes The Colosseum so special is that it is the largest structure still standing that was left by ancient Rome. This Colosseum was used for several different sporting events, including football in the modern times. The Colosseum was built to hold around 50,000 people during an event. Although it has endured weather and acts of nature, it has deteriorated over the years. It still remains the best place to see and feel history.

The second place to visit while you are in Rome includes the Pantheon. This monument is the burial mark for the Italian Kings that have passed away. Regardless of the weather and the many years that it has been standing it has ben well preserved and withstood many storms in its time. This monument is one of the best monuments still standing today.

The third place to visit would be the Palentine. This is the location of all the palaces in Rome. It was actually built by the Roman emperors and the Aristocrats of Rome. Only the remains of the buildings can still be seen but you can view it in order to get an understanding of how Rome once was.

The fourth place to visit while you are in Rome is called the Roman Forum. It is popular for several reasons. When you visit the Roman Forum you may just see remains of a structure that once stood. It has pillars that once stood and a couple that may still be standing. This was a very important place in Rome because of its history. Originally temples were built and then later there were other buildings put up. when you look today you would not be able to recognize alot of the structures but you can feel the sense of history.

The last place to visit in Rome includes a museum. You will want to see the ancient art of Rome portrayed in paintings and other forms of art. This is the one place that you can discover more about the people who lived in Rome. The Museo Nazionale Romano has the most art work displayed in Rome.

Rome is historical and you can feel the past when you visit. Restaurants and shops line the streets as you venture out to explore the best of Rome. When you get to Rome don't forget to call ahead to see if you need to make reservations. Some places require it and if you don't call ahead you may lose out on a great place.

Paris

There are several different things to see when you go to Paris that you may not be able to view them all while on your visit. If you enjoy history you will enjoy a trip to Paris. You must first visit the Eiffel Tower in order to appreciate the beauty of Paris. There you will be able to start your trip off on the right foot. Because it is rich in history Paris also offers several different museums that can inspire you with their history.

The first museum in to see is called Louvre Museum. There are several reasons that this museum is wonderful. The art work displayed at Louvre Museum will be breathtaking. If you are a fan of Leonardo de Vinci's "The Mona Lisa" you will find it here. This museum was built in 1793 and is known as the oldest museum in Europe.

You may also want to visit Musee Rodin while you are in Paris. This museum offers Bronze and Marble sculptures that have been viewed from everyone around the world. See the sculptures up close. These sculptures were the work of Camille Claudel, Monet, Van Gogh, and more. Don't forget to check out the sculptures in the Garden.

You also want to view Musee Picasso. If you want to know more about Picasso you will need to visit this museum. This museum offers about 200 paintings and over 3,000 different drawings. It also displays the art that interested Picasso. Although he was a famous artist he still loved works from other artist.

Palace of Versailles is another enjoyable place to travel to while you are in Paris. There you can see the where Louis XIV lived in order to enjoy the peace and quiet. You can view some of the palace on your own if you are not in a tour group. You can even see where the signing to end World War I took place in the hall of mirrors.

Among the more popular landmarks in Paris are the religious buildings which hold strong value on the cultures of today. One in particular to see is the Sacred-Heart. It was built in order to glorify the "holy heart of Jesus". It's white walls, domes and bell-tower makes it a wonderful sight to see while standing in Paris.

Your trip to Paris would not be complete without a trip to see Arc de Triomphe. These arches are the biggest arches in Europe. Here you can find where the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You can walk up to the top of the arches in order to view the avenues down below.

The Opera Garnier is another place to see. This historical landmark housed the opera house during the end of the 19th century. It's well known for its staircase and chandeliers that hang in the foyer. It was very popular until another opera house, Opera Bastille, became popular. Today the Opera Garnier is now used for Ballet performances.

Barcelona Tours

Traveling to Barcelona is an exciting trip. Barcelona is very rich in history and you can enjoy staying here. After word was confirmed of Barcelona hosting the Olympics they started to work on making Barcelona a safe place to be. Improving the sidewalks and streets to make the accessible by car and by walking was one of the many ways that they improved Barcelona. It is still being cared for today in order to maintain the hard work that they put in to Barcelona in order to make it beautiful.

The first place to travel to is called Sagrada Familia. In 1882 Gaudi started to work on the temple. Today it still stands uncompleted. The original purpose of this structure was to be a Neo Gothic Church. Today it is the most popular tourist attraction in Barcelona.

Rambles is another place to see. This pertains to several streets that are attached and adjoined to each other. Because the streets are close to the river it was used to channel the water down from the hill above in the 13th century.

Go visit The Cathedral while you are out in Barcelona. The Cathedral is one of the older temples that still stand today. The Cathedral was started in 1298 and finally finished in 1913. Be sure to notice the details that you can find in the work when you visit the Cathedral. You can enjoy a tour of the beautiful historic landmark while you are visiting Barcelona.

Travel to Barcelona to find out where Picasso worked on his art while in Barcelona. He wasn't born her but his best work was created while he lived in Barcelona. The museum displays Harlequin, Las Meninas series. But there are also other art that you can see. Find out how he did research on landscapes in Barcelona. Visit the museum to see work created and inspired by the Avant-Garde movement.

You will also want to see Casa Mila. This structure was built somewhere between the years 1906-1910. The Mila family had the home built to be beautiful and for everyone to notice. They were met with the opposite reaction from the residents of Barcelona and were insulted. In 1984 it was determined that the Mila house would be called a World Heritage Site. It is also known as the world's largest abstract sculpture.

Castell de Montjuic is a beautiful castle that you can visit located on top of Montjuic Hill. This castle was originally built in 1640 in order to resists the Felipe IV troops. In 1751 additions were added and again in 1779. Today you can see the result as one big castle. It was once a prison for the Military and today it is a museum of the Military.

Barcelona has a lot to offer visitors that are both landmarks and historic places of interest. Visiting museums in the area will give you a sense of what that particular place is all about. When visiting Barcelona make sure that you call ahead to make sure that you can get reservations if they are required.

Montego Bay

Now is your chance to travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica. What are you going to do when you get there? There are several ways to enjoy this beautiful place that can send you back home with a better sense of what Montego Bay is like. It's beautiful and warm but you already know that. What else can you learn about Montego Bay? There are several different places that you can go in order to learn more about Montego Bay.

Rose Hall Great House has a lot of history behind it. Annie Palmer was said to be a witch who practiced voodoo and cast spells on those who forced her to. She was married three different times and all of her husbands died of something that was mysterious. The three husbands are supposed to be buried in the garden. When you tour her home you will finish up in the dungeon, which is now the tavern.

Pier one on the oceanfront is a great place to see Montego Bay for what it is really like. This pier is used for several reasons; to dock boats and luxury yachts, main headquarters for the Marine Park in Montego Bay, and there is a restaurant and bar located on the pier. Sample the best of Montego Bay when you stop by the restaurant.

Reggae sumfest is another great place to check out. See some of the best reggae performances. Enjoy the beach party first and then following that you can put on your dancing shoes for five nights of music and dance. You can see performers from all over the world come out to perform their shows to the many people who come out to enjoy Raggae.

Sam Sharpe Square is named for Sam Sharp, who was a Baptist Deacon that was hung in 1834. His legacy lives on as his last quoted words are also taught to school aged children as they study the history of Montego Bay. Pavement in the square is of cobblestone, as a replica of the colonial period in which Sharpe was a resident.

Calico Sailing is another place to check out. You can check out Montego Bay from the waters when you book a pirate ship. Enjoy reggae music and captain mates while sailing around. The tour allows you to go snorkeling off of the Marine Park. Then enjoy the beach and a water park while you are out.

The Town of St. Elizabeth has its own history and culture. A group of slaves, also referred to as Maroons, ran away from their owners. They formed a union and were able to battle their British slave owners. Their unity and determination was so strong that the British finally agreed to negotiations and signed a treaty at Peace Cave. Today you can see performances by Maroon singers, dancers and also a bush doctor who can help you cure anything with herbs.

There is one sure way to enjoy marine life without trying to put on the scuba gear. Board a private boat at Margueritaville dock. When you board the vessel you can go down below where you can sit in a room that has glass windows all around. You will be able to see in Montego Bay without leaving the boat.
